Why We Built It

Clutch! was built by avid sports fans. We believe there’s nothing better than watching the big game live. But as we traveled to sporting events on college campuses and other stadiums around the country, we couldn’t help but feel there’s a better way to get to and from the game. At each venue, we’d circle the block numerous times looking for the guy holding the cardboard sign. We fought the unknown of what lots were available, how much they charge, and what other options were available in the area. Parking continued to be the most frustrating part of our gameday experience.

Our Launch

In 2018, we built a mobile app connecting fans with sellers offering parking spaces near event venues. After launching that fall, we soon had churches, residents, and local businesses on college campuses pre-selling spots through the Clutch! app to fans seeking to eliminate parking from their list of gameday stressors. We quickly expanded to other events, including races, music festivals, and even the Super Bowl!

Growth Through Sports

We quickly realized our product had value not just to fans, but to the teams and venues supporting these events. We established official partnerships with teams in college athletics, professional baseball, professional soccer, and professional golf, as well as concerts, local races and marathons, allowing us to expand our services across multiple sports and events, giving more fans greater value.
